My channel may not have long to survive. I have had 2 strikes now, one more and I'm gone.
Firstly, a BIG thanx to all who have enjoyed the records, I appreciate all comments.
I'm not one for commenting on things people say, sorry bout that. I have always tried to keep a low profile.
The important thing is the music that these great writers, artists, producers, and arrangers have given us.
All I have ever wanted to do was keep this music out there, for I'm sure there is still a lot of people in this world who would stumble across these old 45's and fall in love with some of them.
I find it strange that record companies would object to these musical heroes getting just a little bit more exposure, even in such a small way as the records I post.
The ONLY reason i started the channel was to take these records off the shelves and try to find a loving audience for them.
No personal gain, for i get all i need just playing them.
Comments I have had from some of the people who actually created the music and their families have touched me deeply, and made me so thankful that i ever bothered to start the channel.
I am going to keep posting 'till they lift the needle from the groove for good. I just wanted to say thankyou, before I don't have the chance to
Music, whatever the music...as perennial as the rising sun, and still under your skin when the whole day's done!

Leonard Caston and Frank Wilson produced EJK during this period and even sang some vocal parts. If you let was a collaboration for Mr Kendricks. Jimmy carried the lead by himself. I was mesmerized by Eddie's version was then and still am to this day.

The background singers are the unheralded andantes, they sung background for 4 tops hit Bernadette,Marvin Gayes heard it through the grapevine,Supremes, temptations it's growing,on and on they just received an appreciation and recognition award a few yrs ago ,their vocals were angelic, don't believe me the proof is in the pudding, listen to those angelic background voices on this hit.
James Ralph Bailey (June 17, 1937 - September 6, 1985) was an American R&B singer and songwriter. A member of The Cadillacs from 1956 to 1972, he also recorded as a solo artist. He worked as a background vocalist for singers such as Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack, Donny Hathaway, Melvin Van Peebles and Jimmy Castor.
Can someone give me any info on this track and those involved. This song says it was released in 2019 but sounds like late 60’s early 70’s
